Session: ”The Bus Trip” is an animated documentary short film. It is a road movie about Jewish identity and Israel and Palestine. In the 14 minutes short film we get to follow the filmmaker Sarah as she travels from Sweden to Israel and Palestine. Along her travels she also reconnects with her Jewish father and grandmother. After the film screening we will discuss the film and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions to the film director Sarah Gampel.
Bio:
Sarah Gampel is an independent filmmaker and animator from Stockholm, Sweden. She has studied screenwriting in Copenhagen, as well as animation at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and the School of Visual Arts in New York. Sarah makes films with personal stories that often relate to specific political issues. Her work has been shown at the Nobel Museum in Stockholm, the La Havana International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Cuba, as well as at film events in New York City, Givat Olga, and Ramallah.
