Sleep: How we achieve it and what the Torah has to say about it

Session: Sleep affects you and your families’ relationships, moods, learning potential, body height and weight and daily behaviour … Sleep is the next most important thing after oxygen in order to survive.

This presentation explores the sources for sleep hygiene in Torah literature, chiefly Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzato’s great work “Derech Hashem”, and the current science- both the importance of sleep hygiene and the way to go about achieving it.
This session addresses strategies to improve you and your family’s sleep patterns.

 


Bio: Jane Ansell founded Sleep Scotland supporting families of children and young people with additional support needs and developed TEENS+, a post school special needs education programme. She is co-founder of the Edinburgh Jewish Dialogue and Cultural Centre and has developed and delivers a variety of Jewish Learning programmes.
